Tenby Race weekend 26/9/04

Well Sat morning dawned and as usually on a trip it was windless , but hope was on the horizon and some wind was forecast for both the days . Nobby , Del boy and skippy where not far behind myself and Downwind Dan as we traveled up .
Arrive at Tenby and it was "dead calm no sodding wind " . Lads soon arrived and the Tenby boys seemed enthusiastic of wind and a good sail session to come . Scotty and some more of them "boy racer " types with big kit decided that they would go out and wobble around but no hope of tempting the "HARD CORE B.W.A." crew from the cafe . Sat afternoon came and went and decided to forget about the sailing and concentrate of the drinking .
Off we went to the local pub , first one was a bit of an OK corral job and just after the doormen finished collecting the seats, took down all the light fittings and cleared anything that looked like a good weapon for a fight we decided to go somewhere a bit more upmarket . 2nd pub was a better jobbie and met up with Dave the hoppy man and his lady friend Hannah for a good few drinks . Next stop was a good meal followed by another session in pub , the kids where then feeling the affects of the beer so myself and Clive put em to bed nice and early and then got on with some serious drinking .Returned rather late for a good sesion of door banging just to make shure the kids where tucked up nice and snugg.

Sun morning came round and the wind was less than the sat , again some of the "boy racers " went out and tried a bit of big sail wave sailing including Downwind Dan on his trusty ahd and 7m .Had a brief ride on "Bryn,s" big 9.4m huge rig job but it was hard work and retired to the sand for a strech out . Not shure if Bryn is a Barry reject or a Tenby exile yet so will have to question his loyalty next time we meet . Wind was,nt coming any better as the morning went on and a quick check on the phone wap revealled Treco was going off , whey hhhheeheh Treco here we come .
One mad rush back down m4 to Porthcawl , wind was not brilliant but still better than "sod all " pics below say it all .
