The ferry went ok , with Helmet getting the third degree on both sides of the crossing while they gave his van a good look over , after a few beers to get the eyes sleepy we all retired to await the forecast big blow on Fri .
Fri morn and indeed it was blowing well , problem was it was chucking rain , with fog and low cloud making the drive on to Dingle slow .After depositing the dry clothes bags at the B'n'B we moved onto what looked like the best option over at Brandon bay , wind was looking decidedly lighter as we moved closer to the chosen venue , indeed when we arrived what was initially looking like a sub 5m day was dropping quickly and 5.3m/larger board was the shout before it went down any more .
Soon we where all out on the water hammering around the bay with some nice little jumps to be had in the beginning , we sailed out to the small islands in the bay getting off on the smallest which was renamed "NOBBY'S ISLAND" . Wind was still easing through the day and poor old Helmet who went for the wave board option was soon getting zinged by the larger boarded posse . For those of you that have sailed Scagreane before you know how much of a good over the bars you can get off them damn lobster pot ropes and it wasn't long before a few over the bars where notched up .
Helmet gave us a Swansea Valley method for eating breakfast , a hand full of dry cornflakes , followed by a mouth full of milk?
