TRECO 30/8/04
The acid wave was out of action from a ding hole on sun at the knap , so unless
it was sub 15mph or 25mph or more looked like a sail was out of the window .A
quick check on xcweather this morning revealed Nw 17 , so needed a change of
tactics rang around and Nobby kindly agreed to a lend of his trusy Eruption
wave board . So into the batmobile and foot on the batgas heading straight to
Treco . Robin , Nobby ,Del boy ,and Swansea Dan also heading that way .Skippy
was on nightshift patrol arriving late . Wind and wave looked not to bad on
pulling into carpark so with the wind going to ease in aft and tide getting
ready to turn made a sharp run for the water .The Eruption suprised me being
quite a good board , fast , very controlable , jumps well but comes off the
plane very quickly on the gybe , Nobby tell me you gota strap to strap em !
, surprisedc a few others as well , Swansea Dan a bit miffed getting blasted
past while on his trendy north superstar /f2 maui combo . Sailing was very good
for a while but when tide started pushing in ,wind dropped off as well which
made getting back upwind a bit difficult .
Del boy was out on his recent purchase the freesex /xxx and sailed longer than
most on this . Skippy turned up late when wind eased and tide turned and only
had a few runs before most of lads started packing up . Not a great deal of
swell running today but Nw is a really good direction for Treco .
Dan reported a humerous ending to our last trip to Newgale last week , being in a Devilish mood at end of day as Dan was still out sailing decieded to take the marker pen to his Volvo scrawling grafiti all over his front door and wing , guys in fits of laughter at time , on returning to car park Dan was met by some do-gooder telling him some guys in a big blue van had defaced his nice volvo ! (he,he,he ) Dan threw a wobbly , wish we stayed to film it . Only to find it was dry wipe marker and rubbed off in his hand , ha,ha,ha,ha,ha, best laugh of week .
Pic from Treco mid week in similar direction of wind .
