Scotty & mobbsie scare locals on the isle of wight. Oct 23 &24

I wnet down to the "wight air british open slalom championships" last weekend, and what a weekend it was! We pitched up at sandown bay on saturday morning and it looked just like home on a good day, messy breaking waves and plenty of wind.
First up i rigged a 6.0 tush storm and a borrowd starboard s-type and did some slalom racing. Yeehaa, this thing is fast, spent most of my first run out to sea holding the thing down, but made the gybe and then managed to get 3rd, pretty pleased with that.
Then the contest had a break for lunch while the south coast windsurferes all complained it was too windy... 2 pasties later and we were on for supercross............. beach start followed by a race out to sea around a mark and a beach finish. But : you were also being judged on your jump on the way out and wave ride on the way in. For the record i was now maxed on the evo 74 and a 4.7 .That's where all those years of skipping school and getting dirty in the barry shorebreak came in, table tops on the way out and a wiggle on the shprebreak on the way in spammed me into 2nd. Shame there's no prize money.
Then i tried to get pissed to celebrate, but no f****r would let me into teh clubs wearing shorts & trainers, went to bed at 10pm. bummer. Still those with nasty slip on shoes and shiny trousers could be seen throwing up in the car park on sunday morning. ha f**)n ha !!
That was it, we went for a big sail blast on sunday, but teh wind never really blew hard enough, but monday at coney beach was sweet and and el doc and rob twin had a great day at llantwint.

Send you pics when I can get some, my camera dont like rain!!
