Well the forcast for the weekend gales looked promising but the sceptics knew deep down that a southly gale meant sod all wind at the Knap . Sat was ok with a SSW wind with enough power for a wave board and 5.3m sail .Most of the stars where around with the wind droping off a little mid afternoon to come back with a vengance and some waves later on .

Sun not so hot , hung around for a while in hope of wind but to no avail. Nobby and Del boy took a chance and drove to Tenby late in afternoon , had a good sail but maxed out on 4,5m on an empty south beach in pissing down rain

Other travellrs for weekend was "El Doc" Guy who sent me this quick report.,,,,,,,,,,
Well, the forecast was for a big one so i made the trip down to Gwithian
this weekend with a mate from home to show all those cornish "wave sailors"
how its done. (cough cough)4.6m south westerlies meant saturday at the bluff inn with 1/2 mast sets but
the wind only held for an hour then dan arrived and killed it. Much wobbling
and pumping was had by all for the next few hours with a lot of swimming and
the odd bit of light wind down the line.
Sunday was AWESOME. A W E S O M E........Sailed at the godrevey end by the lifeguard hut as the wind was a bit more
southerly. Started off looking like more floaty out stuff with big waves so
we went for a burger in the cafe overlooking. After about half an hour
everyone who was stood around down on the sands suddenly grabbed kit and
pegged it down the beach and were planing like mad.

Sailed for the first 2 hours on a 4.6 in clean logo high sets then that got
too much so changed down to the 4.0. Absolutely perfect cross off down the
line, screaming along the waves like a badger with its tail on fire. Had to
give up after another 2 hours cos i couldn't physically pull the sail in to
make any more top turns and kept flying off the lip and wiping out horribly.

Still have silly grin on face.,,,,,,,,,,guy

Also another traveller but a bit more adventurous was me old mate Helmet ...

Hi Kel,

How has this weekend been for windsurfing epic Sunday? Ireland was good bit gusty and cross offshore sadly Gowlane and its legendary wind hole took its toll on my 4 metre pryde X7 matrix which snapped holing the luff tube on my brand new voodoo, not good . Do you know of any 4 metre masts for sale?
